"Khaled El-Nabawy" Trends on Twitter

Egyptian star Khaled El-Nabawy hashtag topped twitter trending after the premiere of the second episode of his historical TV series “Mamalik Al nar” (kingdoms of fire).

The episode featured El-Nabawy's first appearance in the show, as he played the role of Tuman Bay II, the last Sultan of the Mamelukes in Egypt.

Many users described the actor's performance as "Legendary".

The show also went viral on the platform after the episode was premiered Monday evening.

The TV series is a joint Arab series that is produced by the company “Genomedia”, which was filmed in Tunisia.

Its production costs have exceeded 100 million Tunisian dinars (equivalent to USD 40 million).

The series broadcasts from Sunday – Wednesday on Saudi-owned TV network “mbc 1”, “mbc Iraq”, “mbc masr”, “mbc masr”, “mbc Persia”, and “mbc 5”, at 10:00 (Cairo local time).

It will also be available on Netflix.

The plot highlights the violence of the Ottoman’s domination of the Arab world in the early 16th century and after the last era of the Mamelukes.

It is written by Mohamed Suleiman Abdel-Malek and Ahmed Nada and directed by British Peter Weber.

Mamalic Al nar stars many Arab actors, including Mahmoud Nasr, Kinda Hanna, Rashid Assaf, Mona Wassef, and revealing many facts about this era that was still unknown.

Noteworthy, Khaled Mohamed El Nabawy is an Egyptian film, theater, and television actor. He was born on September 12, 1966, in Al Mansoura city.

He graduated from the Institute for Theatrical Arts, during which he performed in several theatrical productions, including “Al Bahr Beyidhak Leih”, “Al Ginzeer”, and “Kefah Teeba”.

He has also performed exceptionally in several TV series, including “Bawabat Al Halawany”, and “Sharea Al Mawaridy”.

El Nabawy was introduced to the cinema by renowned director, Youssef Chahine in his 1994’s film “Al Mohager”.

He acted in minor roles before Chahine assigned him with leading ones in films “Al Mohager”, “Zaman Al Hilm Al Daea”, “Al Hilm Al Moajal”, and “Al Maseer”, which is followed by his success in short film “Al Qahira Menawara Be Ahlaha”.

El-Nabawy’s latest TV series is 2017’s TV series “Wahet El Ghoroub”، premiered in Ramadan, while his last artistic work is film “Yawm We Layla”.

It also stars Ahmed Al Fishawy, Dorra Zarrouk, Hanan Motawie, Khaled Sarhan, Mohamed Gomaa, and others.

The film is written by Yahia Fekry, and directed by Ayman Makram.
