Kamala Harris Hires New Deputy Chief of Staff

On Monday, US media reported that Vice President Kamala Harris has hired a deputy of chief of staff, Erin Wilson, who will officially join the team on May 31.

Wilson Joins Harris' office following the resignation of Michael Fuchs, and after making a number of other appointments to the vice-presidential office ahead of the fall 2022 midterm elections.

She was Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign national political director. She has worked in both national and statewide campaigns, and she was a U.S. Senate staffer as well as an employee at the Democratic National Committee.

Wilson has served most recently as the deputy director at the White House office of political strategy and outreach.

Fuchs had previously departed Harris's office during her first year in office.

In addition to Fuchs, communications director Ashley Etienne, and communications director Ashley Etienne, among others have all previously departed her office.
