Hussain Jabbar, brother of Iraqi singer, Kadim Al Sahir, is set to publish a book centered around the singer and his family.

In a statement posted Sunday on Facebook, Jabbar stated that he finished writing the book two years ago, and contains more than 400-page count.

"I wrote it with all sincerity, honesty, and objectivity, and after holding sessions with Kadim that exceeded fifty sessions," he added.

Jabbar continued: "I myself have shared events with Kadim Al Sahir, his life, and his art. Nevertheless, my brother Kazem Al-Saher prevented me from publishing it at the beginning, taking into account the feelings of others, but the book will be issued, God willing, after it is revised in early 2021".

It is worth mentioning that Kadim Jabbar Al Samarai, better known by his artistic name Kadim Al Sahir, is an Iraqi singer, composer, and songwriter.

He was born on September 12, 1957, and grew up and spent a large part of his life with his nine siblings in the Al-Hurrya neighborhood in Baghdad.

Al Sahir wrote his first song at twelve, a romantic piece in the classical style, composed for a girl he liked. He used to work with his father at an early age after school to help the family. At age twenty-one, he enrolled at the Baghdad Institute of Music where he studied for six years.

He has established himself as one of the most successful singers in the history of the Arab World.

Al Sahir has been dubbed the "Caesar of the Arabic Song", and "Iraq's Ambassador to the world". His songs range from big romantic ballads to more political work, from pop to Arab classical music.

Al Sahir performs with an orchestra of twenty to thirty musicians on Arabic percussion, oud, qanun, nay, and a full complement of strings such as violin, cello, and bass.
