Julia Roberts Joins Instagram!

One of the remaining major Instagram holdouts, Julia Roberts has now decided to take the plunge and join the platform.

Roberts has posted one image so far, a shot of her serenely sitting on some grass underneath a tree, wearing a black sweater emblazoned with the word "Love," trademark Julia Roberts smile in (almost) full effect. Her caption?

A simple "Hello," punctuated by a sun emoji. It’s a promising start, and we feel quite excited about what’s to come on this account.

Her bio reads, simply, "human"—this would seem to indicate a feed that is going to be authentically Julia, without too much interference from others (it’s hard to imagine anyone other than Roberts herself devising the bio "human" for her).

In recent months, actresses like Jennifer Garner and Nicole Kidman have joined Instagram, both having a lot of fun with the social network, showcasing different sides of their personalities, and highlighting various interests.

Roberts has amassed 381,000 followers in a day’s time; she has yet to follow a single person herself, however.
