English actor Jude Law will star alongside Oscar winner Kate Winslet in the upcoming biopic movie “Lee”.
The movie is based on the life of Lee Miller, the Vogue cover model turned World War II correspondent.
It also stars Marion Cottilard, Andrea Riseborough, Josh O’Connor, and others.
Ellen Kuras will direct from a screenplay by Liz Hannah, who adapted the screenplay from the book “The Lives of Lee Miller” by Anthony Penrose.
Winslet is set to play Miller while Law will star as Roland Penrose, an artist and poet who would eventually fall in love with Miller, and O’Connor as Miller’s son, Anthony Penrose.
It also features Riseborough as Audrey Withers, the editor of British Vogue as a close friend of Miller, while Cotillard will play Solange D’Ayen, the fashion director of French Vogue.
Hannah and Winslet will executive produce the project alongside Rocket Science, Finola Dwyer, Troy Lum, and Andrew Mason.
Production is expected to begin in the late summer of 2022.
“Lee” marks the fourth collaboration between Law and Winslet after 2011’s “Contagion”, 2006’s “The Holiday”, and 2006’s “All The King’s Men”.
