Hours ago, Jordan’s King Abdullah II had a phone call with the U.S. President Elect Joe Biden, where they discussed a number of important files, on top of which are bilateral relations and the Corona pandemic.

A statement issued by the royal court indicated that “King Abdullah II discussed with Biden the strong friendship between the two countries and frameworks for their expansion.”

It added: “During the call, His Majesty expressed his aspiration to work with the democratic president to consolidate the strategic partnership relations between Jordan and the United States and build on them to expand cooperation in various fields, in a way that contributes to achieving the common interests of the two countries and enhancing security and stability in the region.”

During the call, King Abdullah II stressed the importance of continuing to coordinate efforts to face common challenges, including the repercussions of the new Coronavirus epidemic, and ways to combat it.
