Jordan and United Kingdom (UK) discussed a number of issues of common interest on Sunday, January 14, 2024, including the situation in Gaza and the Palestinian territories.

This came during the meeting between Jordanian parliament speaker Ahmed Al-Safadi's meeting with British Ambassador to the Kingdom, Philip Ridley-Hall, on his first visit to the National Assembly after presenting his credentials to the Royal Court.

Al-Safadi and the British Ambassador stressed the importance of the international community entrusting the voices of wisdom always embodied by King Abdullah II, and the vision he expresses to reach a sustainable, peaceful solution through the two-state solution as the guarantor of the security and stability of the region.

The Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives said that what is happening in the Gaza Strip in terms of genocide and massacres puts us before a complete review of all meanings of humanity and international law.

He added that the centers of power and decision-making in the world must realize the seriousness of what is happening and its impact on the region and the world as a whole.
