Jordan Foreign Minister (FM) Ayman Safadi said on Sunday that the tripartite summit between Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq discussed many issues of common interest among the three countries.
In a joint press conference with his Egyptian and Iraqi counterparts, Safadi said that the three leaders agreed to stand by Iraq in its reconstruction process, noting that Iraq must be neutralized from any regional differences.
Moreover, he added that the summit witnessed support for Egypt's rational position regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) issue, stressing the importance to reach an agreement based on international law and fulfill the legitimate rights of Egypt and Sudan.
The Jordanian minister also assured that Egypt's water security is an integral part of Arab national security.
