UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson expressed that Ukraine will win the war on its lands this year, media agencies reported on Thursday.

Therefore, he highlighted that the UK and the EU countries will continue supporting and providing Ukraine with the required weapons.

Johnson said: “We think that they do indeed have it in their power to repel the Russians and to get them back to their pre-February the 24th position.”

He added: “And that’s certainly what [Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky] said he wants to do, and he’s set out a plan for doing that.”

“They do see a way in which they can change the dynamic this year, in the next few months,” the UK Prime Minister during the press conference that was held after the NATO summit.

He concluded: “And I think it means we have to help them as much as we can. Because they’ve shown that they can resist, they’ve shown their amazing, amazing ability to fight back.”

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson stressed on Monday, that the leaders of G7 are united and determined to continue supporting Ukraine.

“The G7 must continue to help Ukrainians rebuild and protect themselves,” Johnson said in an exclusive statement to BBC TV on Monday.

“There is no deal Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky can really make, so under these circumstances, the G7 and Ukraine’s supporters around the world should continue to help Ukrainians rebuild their economy, export their grain, and protect themselves,” he added.

Moreover, Johnson noted that the situation in southeastern Ukraine is still very difficult, but Ukraine has shown an incredible ability to repel and change the military situation.

It is worth mentioning that, earlier, Johnson said that G7 leaders have agreed that the world must intensify economic pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin in any way possible.
