Hollywood star Johnny Depp has recently landed his first major role since being canceled following allegations of domestic violence by ex-wife, Amber Heard.
The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star is set to play French king Louis XV in a new movie.

The untitled movie is helmed by French director Maiwenn, who is also set to portray Jeanne du Berry, a countess and Louis XV’s mistress who was beheaded during the French Revolution.
Production is slated to kick off on July 8 in Paris, which includes some scenes filmed at the famous Palace of Versailles.
The shooting schedule is expected to continue for three months at the Parisian landmarks.
Louis XV, known as Louis the Beloved, recorded the second-longest reign in French history, ruling the country from 1715 to 1774.
He was unpopular at the time of his death on May 10, 1774, after being accused of debauchery and corruption.
Depp has been enshrouded in controversy since he was accused of domestic violence by Heard.
He was fired from the Fantastic Beasts next installment after losing his defamation suit against "The Sun" over a 2018 article in which they called him a "wife-beater" in reference to Depp and Heard's former marriage.
Depp made his last cinematic appearance in the 2020 movie "Minamata".
