Johnny Depp, 58, returned to court on Wednesday to continue his testimony about how his relationship with ex-wife Amber Heard, 36, deteriorated.
The jury at Johnny Depp's defamation trial heard audio recordings of Depp and Amber Heard talking about a fight in which she admitted hitting him and in which he claimed she kicked the bathroom door in the head.
What I could feel was the heat and it felt as if something was dripping from my hand then I looked down and realized that the tip of my finger had been cut off. I was looking straight at my bones sticking out.

"The fleshy part on the inside of your finger. The blood was just flowing and at that point, I think I kind of went into it, I don't know what the feeling of a nervous breakdown is but this is probably the closest. Nothing makes sense. I knew in my mind and in my heart that this ain't life." This is not a life. No one should go through this.

"That feeling that I'm in the middle of some kind of nervous breakdown I'm starting to write in my blood on the walls, little reminders of our past basically representing the lies you've told me, the lies I've made you."
Looking at a picture of him on a stretcher, Depp said, "That's me in the emergency room. I see a detail I've forgotten."
'Heard took my cigarette from the ashtray and put it out on my face.' When asked about his finger, Depp raised his right middle finger and said, "He's the funny-looking guy."

Depp said that while Depp was injured, Heard shouted "white noise at a very high frequency" at him, adding, "I was in shock."

In one clip, Heard tells Depp: 'I didn't punch you. I'm sorry I didn't hit you in the face with a proper slap. I was hitting you, I wasn't punching you.'

Heard's attorney Benjamin Rothenborn also focused on another exchange that year between Depp and Bettany in which Depp wrote: "Let's burn amber!!!"
"After thinking about it," Bettany replied, "I don't think we should burn amber."
In his letters to Bettany, Depp continued, "Let's drown her before we burn her!!! I'll [expletive] her charred corpse afterward to make sure she's dead."

Depp told the jury in the $100 million defamation trial that he stayed with Heard despite the alleged abuse because he feared she would attempt suicide like his mother did when his father left her.
