Popular WWE superstar John Cena’s appearance in Money in the Bank (MITB) on Sunday and latest WWE Monday Night RAW made the name of the wrestling star trends worldwide, especially, after Cena challenged WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in SummerSlam.
The highly-anticipated Cena’s return came after almost three years of absence as the superstar was busy shooting the upcoming segment of Suicide Squad, and Fast and Furious 9.
The professional wrestler said to the crowd yesterday during kicking off the latest Monday Night RAW: “Finally, we can come back and cheer together. And boo together. And make some noise and connect with people that love this.”
Next, Cena explained his sudden appearance after MITB’s main event concluded with Roman Reigns’ victory over Rated R Superstar Edge.
He highlighted: “What am I here for? The WWE Universal Championship,” continuing, “When? About five weeks from now. A little event called SummerSlam.”
So, these statements could be a short teaser for a blowing SummerSlam main event, Cena vs. Reigns for the WWE Universal title.
Moreover, Cena is scheduled to appear in 15 WWE televised and live events until the upcoming SummerSlam main event.
Considered as the second biggest WWE monthly event after the legendary WrestleMania, the upcoming edition of SummerSlam will take place at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada on August 21.
