The Iranian jewelry designer Toktam Shekarriz released her new collection under the theme of “Veil.” The new designs are based on the concept of ingenuity, inspiration, and innovation for generating new ideas and concepts.
Shekarriz as a designer is influenced by several cultural sources, including wildlife, literature, nature, poetry, and architecture.
She explored her passion for arts at a really young age; she had a BA degree in computer science, however, her passion for arts motivated her more to study fashion design in Dubai in 1999.
After a decade, she moved to Montreal, Canada where she got into direct engagement with the French, and North American cultures. Therefore, she had the FGA from the Montreal School of Gemology that is dedicated to Gem Stones arts, and had another GEM-A degree from Britain, alongside having an international degree as a Gemologist.
In addition, Shekarriz had several workshops for pearls, opal, coloured stones, and diamond evolution, alongside participating in the most prestigious conferences in Canada, the US, and the UK.
Shekarriz has a deep experience with diamonds; she is an expert in evaluating and valuing diamonds, and industrially manufactured stones. She can identify more than 60 kinds of gemstones and their characteristics.
Moreover, she joined École Joaillerie de Montréal for satisfying her passion for Gemology.
In 2017, she returned to Dubai to launch her company for manufacturing gold and diamond, and she released her private brand for jewellery.
