Jennifer Lopez is collaborating with Netflix on the film adaptation of the bestselling book “The Cipher”.

Lopez is set to produce and star in the film, which is written by Isabella Maldonado.

She is set to play FBI agent Nina Guerrera, who finds herself drawn into a serial killer’s case after he strategically posts complex codes to recent murders and riddles online, to lure her into a cat-and-mouse chase.

The actress's upcoming artistic works are “Marry Me”, “The Godmother”, and “Shotgun Wedding,”.

She will also serve as the headline performer for the 2020 edition of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”

It is worth mentioning that Lopez, also known by her nickname J.Lo, began taking singing and dancing lessons at the age of five.

She began appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993, and received her first professional acting gig in the direct-to-video drama film "Lost in the Wild" (1993), co-starring with Lindsay Wagner and Robert Loggia.

Lopez starred in her first leading role in the 1997 Selena biopic of the same name, becoming the first Latin actress to earn over USD 1 million for a film.

Later on, she starred in more movies such as "Anaconda" (1997), and "Out of Sight" (1998). She managed to establish herself as the highest-paid Latin actress in Hollywood.

In 1999, Lopez ventured into the music industry with her debut studio album "On the 6", which helped propel the Latin pop movement in American music.

She is regarded as the most influential Latin entertainer in the United States. In 2012, Forbes ranked her as the most powerful celebrity in the world, as well as the 38th most powerful woman in the world.
