Production on Jennifer Lopez and Jharrel Jerome's sports movie "Unstoppable" will return to shooting on December 12 after the production was shut down during the WGA strike.
It hails from director William Goldenberg and also stars Jharrel Jerome, Don Cheadle, Michael Peña, and Bobby Cannavale.
The second feature project from Artists Equity, the new production company that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon co-founded with RedBird Capital, marks the feature directorial debut of Oscar-winning Argo editor Goldenberg.
Based on the book "Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion" by Anthony Robles and Austin Murphy, the movie follows Anthony Robles (Jerome), who despite being born without a right leg and growing up in an abusive household rises to become a NCAA Division I champion wrestler, ultimately winning a national championship against the school that rejected him, national powerhouse Iowa. John Hindman adapted the book.
Producers are Artists Equity’s Affleck and Damon; Nuyorican Productions’ Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas; Coonskin Cap’s David Crockett; A Really Good Home Pictures’ Andy Fraser; Gary Lewis; and Robles. EPs are Artists Equity’s Dani Bernfeld and Michael Joe; Kevin Halloran; and Jack Murray.
"Unstoppable" had stopped filming on May 31.
