Japanese Staff Officers in MFO Completed Their Mission

On June 12, the two Japanese staff officers who had completed their mission in the MFO (Multinational Force and Observers) headquarters paid a farewell call to the MFO ‘s Cairo office.

Noke Masaki, Ambassador of Japan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ambassador R. Stephen Beecroft, MFO Director-General. Bradley C. Lynch, MFO Director General’s representative in Cairo, and Colonel Hossam El Sheikh, Chief of Peace Branch, Liaison Agency With International Organizations (LAWIO)of the Egyptian Armed Forces joined the occasion and commended the achievement made by Lieutenant Colonel FukayamaMasahito and Major Taketatsu Yusuke during their one-year mission in the MFO.

Lynch, representative of the MFO Cairo office and the host of the event praised the great contribution to MFO through building relationships and mutual understanding with the treaty partners. Colonel Hossam from LAWIO highly appreciated the achievements of the Japanese officers as well, stating that they strengthened the relationship between LAWIO and MFO more than ever before.

Ambassador Beecroft expressed appreciation to the government of Japan to dispatch two officials to MFO and referred to the importance of Japan's continued participation in the MFO.

Ambassador Noke said he was proud of LTC Fukayama and MAJ Taketatsu and expressed appreciation to MFO and its cooperative parties that stood by the expectations and has a meaningful contribution to the success of peace and prosperity in the region.
