Japan Celebrates Emperor's 64th Birthday with Grand Reception in Egypt

The Japanese Embassy in Egypt hosted a grand reception on February 22nd, on the eve of Emperor Naruhito's 64th birthday, celebrated globally on February 23rd. The event, held at the prestigious Corinthia Hotel in Cairo, was graced by the presence of numerous Egyptian dignitaries including Finance Minister Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Trade and Industry Engineer Ahmed Samir, and other high-profile officials from various sectors.

The celebration saw around 600 attendees, including members of the diplomatic community and international organizations, all gathered to honor the Japanese Emperor's birthday. The event commenced with a soul-stirring performance of the national anthems of both Japan and Egypt by renowned opera singer Dr. Reda El Wakil, who had previously dedicated a hopeful song to Japan following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

Guests were treated to authentic Japanese cuisine prepared by the Ambassador's chef, Chef Hamana, and had the opportunity to experience Japanese culture firsthand through product displays by several Japanese companies. This event not only marked the celebration of Emperor Naruhito's birthday but also highlighted the deep-rooted friendship between Egypt and Japan.

The Japanese Embassy, on this special occasion of the Emperor's birthday and Japan's National Day, expressed its heartfelt gratitude for the warm wishes received and reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership with Egypt, highlighting the enduring bond between the two nations.
