The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects a continued slight increase in temperatures across the country on Sunday, bringing cool conditions in the early morning hours and milder weather during the daytime.

According to the EMA, the weather will be cool at dawn, turning warm across northern regions during the day and relatively hot in the south, while cold conditions will return again at night. In Greater Cairo, temperatures are forecast to peak at 26°C.

Meteorologists also warned of active winds affecting several areas, including the northern coasts, Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, Canal cities, central Sinai, the Gulf of Suez, and northern Upper Egypt.

In exposed areas, these winds may stir up sand and dust, potentially reducing horizontal visibility, particularly along the northwestern coasts and in the Western Desert.

Light rain is expected in the evening over Sallum and Matrouh, with chances extending to parts of northern Upper Egypt and South Sinai.

There is also a very slight possibility that light showers could reach limited areas of Greater Cairo.

As for maritime conditions, the Mediterranean Sea is expected to be moderate, with wave heights ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters and southeasterly to southwesterly surface winds.

The Red Sea will see light to moderate conditions, with wave heights between 1 and 1.5 meters and surface winds shifting from southeasterly to northeasterly.

Authorities advise caution, especially in areas prone to reduced visibility due to dust and strong winds.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 26°C in Cairo, 26°C in Alexandria, 26°C in Marsa Matruh, 29°C in Sohag, 30°C in Qena, and 31°C in Aswan.
