The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) on Saturday announced details of the expected weather conditions across the country, forecasting a continued rise in temperatures and strong winds affecting several regions.
According to the authority, temperatures are expected to increase by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius across most areas.
The weather will be cold during the early morning hours, turning warm during the day in northern regions and relatively hot in the south, while remaining cold again at night nationwide.
The meteorological authority also warned of a significant weather phenomenon on Saturday, with active winds expected across parts of the northern coasts, Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, Canal cities, North and Central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. These winds may stir up sand and dust, particularly in exposed areas.
As for maritime conditions, the Mediterranean Sea is forecast to be moderate to rough, with wave heights ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters and southwesterly surface winds.
The Red Sea, meanwhile, is expected to see light to moderate conditions, with wave heights between 1 and nearly 2 meters and southeasterly surface winds.
Authorities advised citizens, particularly those in affected areas, to exercise caution due to reduced visibility caused by dust and sand in some locations.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 25°C in Cairo, 25°C in Alexandria, 24°C in Marsa Matruh, 28°C in Sohag, 28°C in Qena, and 29°C in Aswan.
