The administration of the Saudi Ittihad Jeddah ended the tensions between Karim Benzema, and the team's coach Marcelo Gallardo, media outlets reported on Wednesday.

According to sources from the club, the tensions between the player and the coach started when Gallardo asked Benzema to have solo training sessions during the camp in Dubai which was rejected by the French star.

The tensions increased when the Argentinian coach rejected the participation of Benzema in training sessions with players who didn't start the game of the Ittihad against Al Faisaly.

During the winter transfer window, various reports said that three of the top Premier League clubs: Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United were racing to sign Benzema after the reports of Benzema's tensions in Ittihad Jeddah, and absence from the training sessions.

On Monday, Karim Benzema, football icon and current Ittihad Jeddah star, participated in the group training sessions for the team for the first time since his reported tensions with the club, and absence from the training sessions, including the UAE's camp.

The Saudi club shared various photos of the training on social media, showing Benzema's presence.

The Saudi Pro Champions League title holders announced Karim Benzema's return to the club's training sessions on Saturday.
