Rescuers had found 5 dead after a helicopter crash in Italy, and two passengers were still missing, according to the Italian agency (ANSA) on Saturday.

On Thursday, the plane took off from Lucca in Tuscany and was heading towards the northern city of Treviso when it disappeared from radar screens after being exposed to bad weather over an area of highlands covered with forests.

"Seven people were on board the helicopter, including 4 Turkish businessmen working for it," consumer products company Eczacıbaşı said in a statement.

The ANSA news agency reported the plane was owned by transport and aeronautic maintenance company Avio Helicopters, based in Thiene, in northern Italy.
