English media reports have revealed a new twist regarding the future of Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian national team captain, with Liverpool FC. The Egyptian star's contract with the reigning Premier League champions expires in the summer of 2027.
Speculation is mounting about Salah's future after another season with Liverpool, amidst continued interest from the Saudi Professional League, which has been pursuing him for some time. However, recent reports suggest that Italy could be his likely destination this summer.
According to Rousing The Kop, expert Richard Keys believes that Salah's move to the Middle East is not inevitable. He suggests that a "smart bet" would be on Serie A, although big deals are always full of surprises. He added, "I previously mentioned that Salah's transfer to Saudi Arabia was imminent, but he later changed his mind. Liverpool also expressed a willingness to offer him a new contract rather than sell him for a low price."
