An Israeli report revealed that ministers in the government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed the performance of the military establishment over the last round of confrontations with the resistant Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli ministerial council met yesterday to evaluate the cease-fire in the Strip after eleven days of fierce clashes with the Palestinians in the Strip, Al-Quds (known in the Western and Israeli sources as Jerusalem).

"Haaretz", an Israeli  Hebrew-spoken daily newspaper, said that the Israeli Premier and minister in the Cabinet are very worried at the end of the military operation in Gaza amid an atmosphere that reflects an air of victory of Hamas ( the Islamic Resistance Movement) and other Palestinian fighting groups.

Ministers in the Cabinet harshly grilled the Israeli intelligence and depicted it as useless because of its disability to set a group of goals of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip to alternate the attack on Gaza.

During the last session of the Cabinet, the minister said that the last operation in Strip did not achieve any success at all.

Also, the ministers criticized the Israeli air force as it did not succeed in destructing most of the defensive tunnels of the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza.

The political and military leadership faced mode criticism for avoiding sweeping the Strip and abolishing the land operation there and limiting the operations to airstrikes only.

The Israeli ministers enquired how the Palestinians were able to fire rockets until the end of confrontations.

They reproached commanders of the army and intelligence for failing to assassinate prominent leaders in Hamas like    Yahiya Al-Sinwar or Muhammad Al-Deif.

"Haaretz" indicated that one reason for the ceasefire in Gaza related to assessments that the international legitimacy of the attacks launched by the Israeli army nears expiration.

The Israeli newspaper stressed that the United States of America (USA) has changed its tone during the recent few days and pressed Israel to stop aggression at once.
