The law was approved by a majority of 61 Knesset members who supported it, while 47 members opposed it.
Two Knesset members from the Likud party, David Bitan and David Amsalem, and from the Shas party, Moshe Abu Tbool, were absent from the approval session, but this absence was not due to reasons related to disagreements within the coalition. government, according to what was reported by the official Israeli radio "Kan".
The amendment also stipulates that the Supreme Court cannot consider or approve a petition demanding that the Prime Minister be declared unable to carry out his duties.
