Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen is set to visit Azerbaijan on Tuesday, a country that neighbors Iran and Russia and from which Israel receives 30% of its oil
The Hebrew newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, said that Cohen left Israel at the head of an economic delegation with the aim of promoting trade between the two countries.
Cohen is expected to meet with the Azerbaijani President and the country's foreign and economic ministers and discuss with them the strategic relations between the two countries and regional challenges in the fields of security, economy and energy.
The economic delegation includes representatives of 20 Israeli companies from the fields of cybersecurity, homeland security, water management and agriculture, according to the newspaper
