Israeli Channel 12 reported on Monday that the remains of an Israeli hostage were found near the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army announced that the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) informed them that it had received a coffin, apparently containing the remains of Israeli hostage Hadar Goldin, from Hamas in southern Gaza on Sunday.
Funeral Ceremony
The Times of Israel quoted the army as saying, "The ICRC is now transferring the coffin to Israeli army forces inside the Gaza Strip, where a small memorial ceremony will be held, led by a military rabbi."
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, stated that, as part of a prisoner exchange deal, they are handing over the remains of Israeli officer Hadar Goldin, which were found on Saturday afternoon in a tunnel in the Yabna refugee camp in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.
