Today, Wednesday, Lebanese media reported that the Israeli army (known also in Western and Israeli sources as IDF)  has built an insulating metal fence opposite the Lebanese border.

The correspondent of the Lebanese "Al-Nashra" agency in the Hasbaya area, (in the south part of Lebanon next to the border with occupied Palestine), stated that the  Israeli army resumed this morning the installation of a metal insulating fence along the military road that it recently created in the vicinity of the western side of the Misgaf Am, as Israeli  settlement, opposite the Lebanese town of Al-Adaysah."

According to the reporter, "The Israeli army brought in for this purpose a technical workshop supported by a crane that is working to install the fence amid strict security measures, which are met on the Lebanese side by patrols and observation points for the Lebanese army and peacekeeping units that work  under the United Nations ( UNIFIL) at points close to this line to monitor the situation in anticipation of any emergency."

The Israeli army claimed, earlier this month, that it had thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs and ammunition worth hundreds of thousands of dollars across the Lebanese border.
