In a recent escalation of tensions, an Israeli airstrike targeted a truck in Syria near the Lebanese border, resulting in the death of two Hezbollah operatives.

This incident, reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, adds to the growing number of airstrikes by Israel in the region, particularly during the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.

The strike, which occurred near the border areas between Homs and Rural Damascus, highlights the continued focus of Israeli operations on groups associated with Tehran, such as Hezbollah.

The Syrian state media has remained silent on the incident, and an official response from Hezbollah is pending.

This event is part of a broader pattern of Israeli military activity in Syria, aimed at countering Iranian influence and Hezbollah's military capabilities in the region.

With the conflict in Gaza intensifying, such strikes have become more frequent, raising concerns about the wider implications for regional stability.

The Syrian conflict, now in its second decade, continues to have a devastating impact on the country, with millions displaced and a significant toll on human life.

The international community remains watchful as these developments unfold, with the situation in Syria and the broader Middle East remaining highly volatile.
