The Israeli military intends to maintain its presence in Syria until at least the end of 2025, continuing operations against Syrian military assets and confiscating weapons from local villages, according to Israeli media reports.
Following the collapse of the Assad regime, Israeli forces have carried out over 500 airstrikes targeting Syrian military infrastructure.
Recent data released by the Israeli military indicate that over 90% of Syria’s advanced air-defense missile systems, including SA-22 and SA-17 systems, have been destroyed.
Israel has reportedly dismantled 85% of Syria’s air defense systems, affecting both advanced and older models.
The country’s air force has also suffered severe losses, with Israeli strikes eliminating all Su-22 and Su-24 fighter jets, resulting in the destruction of nearly 40% of Syria’s total air fleet.
Additionally, Israeli forces have completely destroyed all Syrian explosive drones, along with 390 key military targets, further diminishing Syria’s aerial and ground defense capabilities.
