The Israeli army launched Saturday a series of strikes on several areas in southern Lebanon.
An Israeli strike targeted the vicinity of the town of Burj al-Shamali, a raid on the town of Abbasiyeh, and another on the town of Tayr Harfa in southern Lebanon.
Also, the Israeli forces launched a series of air raids on the towns of Khiyam and Kfar Kila in the south.
There were reports of injuries in the Israeli raid on a building in the Burj al-Shamali area.
The Israeli army carried out violent artillery shelling targeting the town of Shebaa in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon after 10 people were killed when a rocket shell fell on the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan.
Hebrew reports indicated that the shell fell on a children's playground in the town. It is not yet clear why the Israeli air defenses did not intercept it, and it is also not possible to confirm at this stage whether it was a drone, a shell, or an interceptor missile.
Israeli media reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was informed of the details of the incident in the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, and held security consultations from Washington.
In addition, the Israeli army and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is in Washington, pointed the finger at the Lebanese Hezbollah and threatened it with a harsh response.
In response to these accusations, an informed source in the Lebanese Hezbollah denied to RT its responsibility for the incident and confirmed that it had nothing to do with the bombing that targeted Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan Heights.
In addition, the Hebrew website "Walla" said on Saturday evening that the Israeli army is preparing to respond to the Majdal Shams incident in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
