Israeli warplanes launched two raids on Thursday on the Beqaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, near the border with Syria, in a new violation of the ceasefire agreement in effect since November 27, 2024.
For decades, Israel has occupied territories in Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria, and refuses to withdraw from them and establish an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the pre-1967 borders.
