Israeli occupation authorities announced the closure of airspace until further notice, following reports that Iranian aircraft had taken off in response to the airstrike launched by Israel early Friday morning against the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz declared a state of emergency in the country following the attack, stressing the heightened level of preparedness in anticipation of any developments on the ground.
In the same context, an Israeli military official revealed, according to the Israel Times, that the operation being launched by the occupation army against Tehran is codenamed "Rising Lion."
The official confirmed that the United States had prior knowledge of the operation, without revealing the nature of the coordination with Washington.
