Israel Blocks Aid to Gaza After Closing Kerem Shalom

Israel has once again closed the Kerem Shalom border crossing, halting the delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza just a day after allowing the 35th aid convoy to pass through, authorities confirmed on Friday morning.

The move comes as Israeli authorities continue to block the entry of essential humanitarian supplies, maintaining restrictions at both the Kerem Shalom crossing and the Rafah crossing on the Palestinian side.

According to aid agencies, a total of 4,586 aid trucks were transferred over the past seven weeks through Rafah and then redirected via Kerem Shalom into Gaza.

These deliveries included food, medicine, and other urgent humanitarian supplies for civilians trapped in the war-torn enclave.

The renewed closure has raised alarm among humanitarian organizations, who warn that the ongoing restrictions risk deepening the already severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where shortages of food, water, and medical supplies remain critical.
