The French authorities arrested the president of the Islamic organization “Baraka City” Idris Yamou on Wednesday for online harassment.

Yamou’s investigations with the Paris judicial police regarding the charges pressed by the former “Charlie Hebdo” journalist Zainab Al-Razawi continued yesterday while his investigations regarding the charges pressed by the “Monte Carlo” journalist Zahra Petan on September 18th who showed 120 of Yamou’s insulting tweets took place last week.

It is noteworthy that the “Baraka City” organization is one of the organizations that the government considers to be radical Islamic and sometimes targets since the murder of the teacher Samuel Patti in an Islamic assault on Friday which is why Yamou’s lawyer considers the arrests and investigations political.

Yamou got released on parole on October 15th from the charges pressed by Al-Razawi and he will stand in front of the Evry criminal court on December 4th for the charges pressed by Petan.

Yamou’s arrest came concurrently with the French government’s procedures to break his organization.
