Egypt will take part in the “Shatr Al Masgad” exhibition at Ithra Museum, Dhahran , Saudi Arabia. The Egyptian artifacts have been shipped to KSA.
In the same context, a number of Egyptian archaeologists traveled to KSA to work on restoring the pieces and making sure of the accuracy of the shipment.
On his side, Dr. Mostafa Wazziri, the director of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, explained that 84 artifacts that will be displayed in the exhibition were taken from the Museum of Islamic Arts in Cairo.
The selected Egyptian artifacts are belonging to mosques such as lighting tools like lamps, and holy Quran books holders.
The head of the sector of museums Moamen Hassan said that the exhibition will overview the history and progression of mosques establishment in the Islamic world.
Also, it will reflect various sides of Islamic civilization and its arts.
