Isagha Company intends to present the “Gold of the New Republic” project, which is an integrated project for the development of the gold and jewelry sector.
It is expected that the coming period will witness the first steps of the project by stimulating the movement of sales to retailers, and the establishment of an exhibition of jewelry for the public with local and Arab participation.
The rationale for the strategy of the "Gold of the New Republic" project was formed during the "Egypt Jewelers" forum 2022, which held the activities of its third session under the slogan "Financial Inclusion and the Role of Digital Transformation in the Development of the Gold Sector in the New Republic."
The forum was attended by representatives from the government, banking sectors, and the gold and jewelry sectors.
The forum included open dialogue sessions in which representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Solidarity, the Tax Authority, economic experts and experts from the gold sector participated.
The final statement of the forum included the most important results of the lengthy discussions between traders and representatives of the tax authority on the necessity of neutralizing the price of gold when accounting for tax, and then the need to submit an official memorandum from the Chamber of Commerce to the Tax Authority to discuss this problem.
It represents the first steps to solving the tax accounting problem and increasing confidence among the financiers from the sector and the tax authority.
