A number of members of the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades and Militia protested today, Tuesday, in front of the US Embassy in Baghdad, calling for the closure of the embassy and expelling the Ambassador of Washington.

Two sources at the demonstration witnessed the attempt to break into the premises adding that security personnel fired tear gas to repel the attack.
The Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades and Militias announced today, Tuesday, that they will not storm the US embassy in Baghdad.

This came after the Iraqi Hezbollah fighters burned the US flag in front of the embassy door in Baghdad today. They are demanding the expulsion of the Washington ambassador from the Iraqi capital.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq militia, Qais Khazali, and the leader of the Badr Hadi al-Amiri militia, arrived in front of the US embassy in the Green Zone.
Last Sunday, the US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) announced the targeting of sites for the Iraqi Shiite Hezbollah Brigades in Syria and Iraq.
