Iraq strongly condemned U.S. attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling on the international community to take immediate action to stop the war.
In a statement issued on Sunday following a high-level meeting attended by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, President Abdul Latif Rashid, and Speaker of Parliament Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the Iraqi leadership denounced the aggression.
"The meeting condemned the blatant aggression against Iran, describing it as a flagrant violation of international laws and norms," the statement read.
Iraq urged the international community "to act immediately to stop the war, prevent its expansion, and promote dialogue and de-escalation."
