The Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced that its F-16 aircraft conducted two airstrikes on a terrorist hideout, which housed three terrorists, in the Wadi Al-Shai area within the Kirkuk operations sector.
In a statement released on Thursday and reported by the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA), the command detailed that this operation is part of the ongoing efforts to eliminate the remaining strongholds of ISIS terrorist cells. The airstrikes were based on precise intelligence provided by the Military Intelligence Directorate and were carried out under the supervision and planning of the Joint Operations Command.
The statement further explained that the airstrikes targeted caves, tunnels, and dens used by the terrorists in the same location, significantly impacting the terrorist group's ability to operate in the region.
