Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations accused the United States and Israel of committing crimes against Iran, saying recent attacks targeted civilian infrastructure and caused heavy casualties.

Speaking at the UN, the Iranian envoy claimed that Washington is seeking to destroy key civilian facilities inside Iran. He said the strikes deliberately hit vital infrastructure, including water desalination plants.

According to the envoy, the attacks resulted in significant civilian losses and widespread damage to critical services across the country.

He added that more than 1,300 civilians have been killed as a result of what he described as US and Israeli military operations, accusing both countries of carrying out acts that amount to crimes against Iran.

The remarks come amid escalating tensions in the region following a series of military exchanges between Iran, Israel, and US forces.
