Iran's Oldest Pilgrims Dies during Hajj Aged 111 Years

Iranian media reported that Iran's oldest pilgrims died of a heart attack, after completing the Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mostafa Mahmoudzadeh, 111, suffered a heart attack after performing the rituals of Hajj in Mina, near the holy city of Mecca," the Tasnim news website said.

The site quoted Iranian Hajj officials as saying that Zadeh died in the Ihram clothes, and he will be buried in the land of Mina.

His son confirmed the death of his father, as he said, "My father died today, may God have mercy on him, and he will be buried in the land of revelation."

Zadeh, explained, earlier in televised statements that he had been working in agriculture for years and had hoped to be honored to perform the pilgrimage to the Sacred House of God.

During the interview, we was asked if he had any health problems, and he replied, "I do not have any disease, and I am in good health and my body is ready to walk like a young man. I go up and down the slope ten times a day and I do not suffer from disability."
