Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi thanked the Egyptian government for hosting a meeting in Cairo between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, during which an agreement was signed last night.
Araghchi posted on his Twitter account, saying, "The Islamic Republic of Iran expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation to Egypt for its prominent and constructive role in facilitating the diplomatic process." He added that the framework of cooperation between his country and the International Atomic Energy Agency became possible thanks to the efforts of Egyptian foreign minister Badr Abdel Aty and the support of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, according to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA).
