The Iranian Foreign Minister said, “We exercised restraint, but it seems that Israel understood that wrong,” explaining in a press conference that Israel’s attack on our consulate violates international laws and conventions.

He added that Britain and France obstructed the issuance of a statement by the Security Council condemning the aggression against our consulate, explaining that the Security Council’s reluctance to issue a statement regarding the aggression against our consulate encouraged Netanyahu to violate the laws.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said that Israel is committing crimes and genocidal massacres in Gaza and the West Bank, and that the international community calls on Iran to exercise restraint and turn a blind eye to Israel’s crimes.

He explained that the Iranian military operation against Israel yesterday was limited.

On Saturday, Iran carried out an expanded attack against Israel with missiles and drones, during which it hit targets, including the most important air base in the Negev, with a Khaybar missile. This is the base from which the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus was launched.
