Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has stated that reopening the Strait of Hormuz is “impossible” as long as the naval blockade remains in place, signaling continued escalation over one of the world’s most critical energy routes.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Gulf, where restrictions on maritime traffic have raised global concerns over energy supplies and shipping security. The Strait of Hormuz is a vital corridor through which a significant share of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas passes, making any disruption a major risk to global markets.
