Iranian air defenses have shot down a U.S.-made drone over western Iran and an Israeli unmanned aircraft near the capital, according to Iranian state television.
The broadcaster reported that an MQ‑9 Reaper drone was destroyed in the skies above Lorestan Province.
Iranian authorities also said air defenses intercepted and destroyed a Hermes UAV in the vicinity of Tehran.
The MQ‑9 Reaper is a long-endurance surveillance and strike drone widely used by the United States Air Force for reconnaissance and precision operations.
Iranian officials did not provide details about the exact timing of the interceptions or whether debris caused damage on the ground.
The announcement comes amid escalating military tensions between Iran and Israel, with both sides reporting strikes and counter-strikes across the region.
Tehran has repeatedly warned that it will respond to any attacks on its territory, while accusing the United States and Israel of coordinating military operations against Iranian targets.
