When the iPhone XR launched in September 2018 some viewed it as a possible replacement for the SE. But that handset has a considerably higher price, although it was recently reduced to £629/$599 and is considerably larger. Right now the smallest option is the iPhone 8, with its 4.7in display priced at £479/$449.

The rumours predict for the new iPhone features which including; 4.7in display, A13 chip, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, an updated LCP antenna for improved wireless performance, Space Grey, Red and Silver finishes as well as touch ID not face ID.

Meanwhile, a new concept illustration shows this device as a modified iPhone 8 with frosted glass on the rear.

Noteworthy, iPhones will reportedly be Apple’s first to support 5G networking. At least one model will support 5G and possibly all iPhones coming out in 2020, will be able to take advantage of the faster networking standard.

Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo reported that Apple will reportedly release five new version in 2020. Kuo, predicts a 4.7-inch  SE 2 will debut in the same year, and four apple 12 models with 5G.

One advantage Apple could enjoy by waiting until 2020 for its 5G phone is that the price of 5G components may drop by then, allowing Apple to release the iPhone 12 for around the same price as what you’d pay for an iPhone today, According to that report, first published by AppleInsider.

On other hand, Apple revamped the rear cameras on the 2019 handsets (with three lenses for the first time, and even the twin lenses of the iPhone 11 arranged in a new square housing), but left the rest of the design largely untouched for the third generation in a row.
