Central Agency for public mobilization and statistics issued a press release on the occasion of safer Internet day. As the world started to celebrate this day in 2005, almost 130 countries around the world on the second Tuesday of February annually which aims to encourage respectful networking and safer usage of the Internet and mobiles phones, especially among children and young people who are the targeted group for such day sponsored by (Insafe) network as one of the EU project (SAFE BORDERS Project) initiatives. This year's 2023 theme is "Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online".
• Most important Indicators are as follows:
1. The total number of subscribers in broadband internet reached 11.04 million in December 2022 versus 10.07 million in December 2021 with an increasing percentage of 9.63%. That increase is due to enhancing the service from internet service providers.
2. The total number of subscribers to mobile internet reached 71.50 million in December 2022 versus 65.51 million in December 2021 with an increasing percentage of 9.14%. That increase is due to mobile services' high availability.
