Inter Milan continued their outstanding run in the Italian Serie A after securing a 2-0 victory over Cremonese on Sunday evening at the Giovanni Zini Stadium, in the 23rd round of the league.
The Nerazzurri opened the scoring early, with Lautaro Martinez finding the net in the 16th minute following a precise assist from Federico Dimarco.
Inter maintained their momentum and doubled the advantage before halftime, as Piotr Zielinski scored in the 31st minute to give the visitors full control of the match heading into the break.
Cremonese attempted to respond in the second half, pushing forward in search of a goal that could bring them back into the contest.
However, Inter’s well-organized defense stood firm, preventing the hosts from creating any clear scoring opportunities and ensuring a comfortable victory for the league leaders.
The win strengthens Inter Milan’s position at the top of the Serie A table, where they now sit on 55 points from 23 matches, holding an eight-point advantage over second-placed AC Milan.
Simone Inzaghi’s side has now recorded 11 consecutive league victories, highlighting their consistency and dominance throughout the season.
Inter’s strong campaign has also seen them qualify for the UEFA Champions League play-offs and advance to the next round of the Coppa Italia, although they were eliminated from the Italian Super Cup.
With their impressive form and defensive solidity, Inter Milan continue to lead the title race confidently as they push forward in their quest to retain top spot and extend their remarkable season.
