The Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, led by Amit Shah, has revealed plans to construct a border fence along its borders with Myanmar.

Additionally, India intends to revoke the existing freedom of movement agreement with Myanmar, according to a statement by the minister.

The Times of India quoted Amit Shah as saying, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has decided to protect the border with Myanmar by erecting a fence similar to the one installed along the Bangladesh border."

Furthermore, the government is set to reevaluate the freedom of movement agreement with Myanmar and intends to make substantial changes to the current mechanism.
