On Thursday, India approached Egypt for help amid this critical situation due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Foreign Secretary of India Harsh Vardhan Shringla stated in a press conference that his country has been contacting with pharmaceutical companies in Egypt to supply them with the "Remdesivir" vaccine.

Moreover, Shringla affirmed that 40 countries have pledged to provide help, adding that about 550 Oxygen concentrators will come from different countries all over the world.

He also pointed out that the UAE, Russia, and other countries have offered to provide supplies of the "Favipiravir" vaccine to fight against the pandemic.

In the same page, the health authorities in India said Thursday the number of infections and deaths of the coronavirus spiked significantly during the last 24 hours across the country.

Meanwhile, 379.257 thousand people caught the deadly virus, and 3645 people died yesterday only.

The Federal Ministry of Health revealed that the total number of infections with COVID-19 in the country exceeded 18.38 million confirmed cases.

On the other hand, the World Health Organization (WHO) warns that the Indian variant of the COVID-19 is the main reason for the human disaster that threatens the Asian country now.

The UN organization indicated the Indian variant has invaded 17 countries across the planet so far.
